Van Teeling named captain of Kings; Oil Caps acquire Oliver

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Dauphin Kings have named Mitch Van Teeling their captain this season. 

The 20-year-old forward from Brandon split last season with the Kings and the BCHL's Vernon Vipers. He netted 13 goals and 40 points in 34 regular season games with the Kings last year.

Oil Caps acquire Oliver

Meanwhile, the Virden Oil Capitals have picked up forward Curtis Oliver from the SJHL's Yorkton Terriers for future considerations. 

The 20-year-old forward from Elkhorn netted seven goals and 21 points in 43 regular season games a year ago, helping the Terriers win the SJHL championship. 

There have been a few other MJHL deals that have been finalized recently. 

The Winkler Flyers have acquired 18-year-old forward Brent Aiken from the Flin Flon Bombers for future considerations.

The OCN Blizzard have traded 19-year-old defenceman Preston Eshenko to the Melfort Mustangs for the 19-year-old forward Cody McKinnon.

Lastly, the Dauphin Kings have acquired 19-year-old Eric Lietz from the Espanola Rivermen of the NOJHL for future considerations.
