MHSAA unveils first top 10 rankings of season for volleyball

With volleyball season now in full swing, the Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association unveiled its first top 10 rankings of the year.
In the varsity 'A' rankings, the Hamiota Huskies occupy the No. 1 seed on the boys side, followed by Strathclair, Melita, Rosenort and Whitemouth.
On the girls side, the Glenboro Panthers are seeded first, followed by Gilbert Plains, St. Claude, Prairie Mountain and Hamiota.
In the 'AA' rankings, the Niverville Panthers sit at No. 1 on the boys side, followed by Major Pratt, Warren, Green Valley and Carman. The Neepawa Tigers are seeded sixth.
The Elton Sabres are the No. 1 seed on the girls side, followed by Ashern, Killarney, Souris and Teulon. The Minnedosa Chancellors are seeded sixth.
In the 'AAA' rankings, the Westgate Wings hold down the No. 1 spot on the boys side, followed by Gabrielle Roy (Ile Des Chenes), Calvin Christian, Springs Christian and Neelin (Brandon).
On the girls side, Linden Christian sits at No. 1, followed by Westgate, Calvin Christian, Lorette and St. Norbert.
In the 4A rankings, Mennonite Brethren is atop the charts at No. 1, followed by Miles Macdonell, St. Paul's, Lord Selkirk and Westwood.
While the Brandon-based Neelin Spartans hold down the No. 1 seed on the girls side, followed by Lord Selkirk, Miles Macdonell, Westwood and St. Mary's.
Turning to junior varsity, in the 'AAA/AAAA' rankings, Steinbach is seeded first on the boys side, followed by Lord Selkirk, Mennonite Brethren, St. Paul's and Kelvin.
Lord Selkirk, Vincent Massey, St. Mary's, Mennonite Brethren and Miles Macdonell are seeded first to fifth respectively on the female side.
Lastly, Gabrielle Roy (Ile Des Chenes) is seeded first in the boys 'A/AA' rankings, followed by Ste. Anne, Warren, Major Pratt (Russell) and Rosenort. The Neepawa Tigers are seeded seventh.
Green Valley (Grunthal) holds the top seed on the girls side, followed by Gabrielle Roy (Ile Des Chenes), Major Pratt, Morris and Killarney.
