The Brandon Wheat Kings snapped a two-game losing streak on Wednesday night in Moose Jaw.

Taylor Cooper's second goal of the game less than two minutes into overtime lifted the Wheat Kings to a 3-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors, improving Brandon's record to 6-5-0 on the season.

Captain Ryan Pulock set the stage for Cooper's OT winner by scoring the game tying goal with just 17 seconds remining in regulation time.

Wednesday's win was Brandon's fourth against the Warriors this season and second in less than a week. The Wheat Kings opened up the Thanksgiving long weekend with a come from behind 3-2 shootout win last Friday.

Curtis Honey turned aside 30 shots to pick up the win while Justin Paulic made 34 stops in the Warriors net.

Pink the Rink

The Wheat Kings weren't the only winners this night as the Canadian Cancer Society auctioned off Chad Robinson's No. 20 "Pink the Rink" jersey during the play-by-play broadcast on 880 CKLQ. The winning bid of $1,200 came from the Robinson Family/Yellowhead Chiefs. Ryan Pulock's jersey will be auctioned off Friday morning on 94.7 Star FM, with fans and businesses encouraged to call in between 6am and 12 noon.

The remaining jerseys will be available during Saturday's "Pink the Rink" game against the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers. Eighteen will be auctioned off during an in-game silent auction while two others will be won through a special Cancer Society raffle.

All proceeds from the sale of these game worn jerseys will go to the Canadian Cancer Society.

The pink jerseys, which will be worn by the Wheat Kings on Saturday night, include a special Wheat Kings' logo and feature the names of season ticket holders, friends and family, who have been lost to cancer, in the bottom piping trim of the sweaters. Among the close to 40 names that will be displayed are former Brandon Wheat Kings' Athletic Trainer Rob Stouffer as well as Bob Hamilton, the club's former Education Counsellor at Crocus Plains High School.

The main crest is based on the hockey club's logo that was used between 1972-1981 and rebranded with the traditional pink ribbon, which represents the international symbol of breast cancer awareness. The team's existing crown logo meanwhile will serve as the jersey's shoulder patches.
