The Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Portage Terriers acquired 18-year-old blueliner Nolan Speiss in a trade with the English River Miners of the SIJHL on Thursday.

Speiss, from Neepawa, is the former captain of the Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey League's Yellowhead Chiefs. The Terriers also added forward Jaryd Wiebe in the deal, sending Coltyn Spicer and future considerations to the Miners.

The Terriers made another move, dealing 19-year-old goaltender Mitch Wiebe to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines for future considerations.

Meanwhile, the Dauphin Kings have traded 20-year-old forward Dayton Reinboldt to the La Ronge Ice Wolves for 19-year-old forward Jason Berube and future considerations.
