The Manitoba Senior Baseball League held its annual general meeting on Monday night and there were a couple of significant announcements.

The league will remain a five-team circuit next year as the Reston Rockets announced that they'll be returning next season. The club told the league this past summer that they were planning to leave the MSBL following the 2013 season.

The Rockets joined the league in 2007 and won their second MSBL title in three years this past season.

Meanwhile, Neil Franklin will return as the MSBL president. Franklin took over for Richard Lochhead, who stepped down from the role in July.

The league will also be putting in a bid for the hosting rights to the 2015 senior national championship

Lastly, the MSBL is also bidding for the hosting rights to the 2015 senior national championship. Baseball Canada is expected to make the decision on the matter next month.
