Baseball Manitoba announces 2013 award winners

Baseball Manitoba announced its 2013 award winners recently. 

Among the winners this year include Mitch Olson of the Manitoba Senior Baseball League's Reston Rockets, who was named the senior AAA player of the year. 

Olson, from Deloraine, had a batting average of .345 with four home runs and 17 RBI during the regular season. Olson and the Rockets won the MSBL title this past season.

Meanwhile the Oak River Dodgers bantam squad was named the grassroots team of the year. The club won the Western Canadian Bantam AA Championship earlier this year. 

The Baseball Manitoba annual awards banquet takes place Saturday, Nov. 9 in Morden.
