Flanagan named MJHL player of the week

Max Flanagan of the Swan Valley Stampeders has been named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League player of the week.

Flanagan, 20, had seven goals and nine points in four games last week. The native of Edmonton sits tied with Parker Thomas of the Selkirk Steelers for first in the MJHL scoring race with 21 goals and 35 points (as of Nov. 18).

The runners up were 20-year-old forward Jesse Bernard of the Dauphin Kings and 17-year-old forward Taylor Sanheim of the Portage Terriers. Sanheim is a former member of the Yellowhead Chiefs of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.
