Dylan Butler of the Dauphin Kings has been named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League player of the week.
Butler, 20, netted three goals, three assists for six points in three games last week for the Kings, who sit second in the Sher-Wood Division with 14 wins and 29 points. A native of Thunder Bay, Ont., Butler sits atop the Kings’ points race with 12 goals and 32 points.
The runners up were 19-year-old forward Nic Erb of the Swan Valley Stampeders and 18-year-old forward Devan Schram of the Virden Oil Capitals.
Terriers deal Swedlo
The Portage Terriers have traded 18-year-old forward Johl Swedlo to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines for the MJHL list rights of 16-year-old defenseman Tyler Anderson.
