The extended break seems to have done some good for the Neepawa Natives, as the team halted its five game losing streak.

Drake Lindsey picked up a hat trick and added a pair of assists to lead the way for Neepawa on the way to a 5-3 win over the Dauphin Kings on Tuesday night.

Overall, it was a huge night for the line of Lindsay, Brady Bouchard and Garret Rempel, as they combined for 11 points in total. Both Bouchard and Rempel netted one and contributed a pair of assists each. Jaxon Elmes also added an assist. Head coach Dwayne Kirkup said the team was motivated to get off the a quick start and that's exactly what they did.

"Our one line of Drake, Garret and Brady really did something special last night but really the whole team was quick and played aggresively last night," said Kirkup. "We jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first period. Notched a few early in the period, that was a huge momentum swing in our favour."

Goaltender Alex Henry picked up the win, as he stopped 43 of 46 shots he faced. Neepawa next action is tonight at the Yellowhead Centre against the OCN Blizzard.
