NACI Tigers top Souris

The Neepawa Tigers have improved their Rural Manitoba Football League record to 3-3 on the season, with a 19-15 victory over the Souris Sabres on Thursday, Oct. 15.

Tigers quarterback Dylan Oshanyk went 8-for-14 through the air, with a pair of passing touchdown and one interception. Receiver Jeremy Roe ended the afternoon with four catches for 63 yards, including a 25 yard touchdown reception. Taine Middleton also contributed a pair catches for a combined 72 yards. One of those receptions was a 63 yard touchdown.

The ground game for Neepawa returned to form this week, as it accumulated 19 combined carries for 128 yards. Will Rainka had six carries for 27 yards, including a nine yard scamper for a touchdown. Taine Middleton added three carries for a total of 50 yards 

The NACI defence contributed to the victory with a combined 50 tackles. Dillan Neufeld and Will Birnie registered 13 and 12 tackles respectively. The stats for special teams would see them make six returns for 230 yards and one fumble.

The next game for Neepawa will be on Friday, Oct. 23, when the Tigers travel to Moosomin to take on the Generals.
