The Neepawa Natives have made a roster change in advance of the Dec. 1 trade deadline. The MJHL club has acquired forward Josh Sielsky (98) from the Portage Terriers for future considerations.

Sielsky, who hails from Maidstone, Saskatchewan, played his AAA hockey with the Beardy Blackhawks, tallying 31 goals with 64 points in 70 games during his midget career.  In seven games this season with the Portage Terriers,  he had recorded a goal and an assist.  The 18-year-old suited up for Neepawa in their game on Saturday, Nov. 26,  getting a goal and an assist for his new team.

In a statement released on the club website, Neepawa Natives general manager Myles Cathcart noted that  “Josh is a fast skater, has an above average skill and has scored at every level he has played,”

A few other line-up changes are also being explored by the Neepawa Natives in advance of the MJHL trade deadline, though the Neepawa Press couldn’t officially confirm them before publication deadline. Once those moves are official, they will be reported in next edition of either the Press or Neepawa Banner.
