Rivers Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 75 hosted its annual curling bonspiel at Rivers Curling Club on Saturday, Nov. 25. With only eight teams registered, every rink played two eight-end games.

Points were accumulated and the Dennis Veitch rink of Rivers won first with 38 points. The Brian Manns rink, with players from Brandon and Hamiota, claimed second prize with a score of 33 points.

Following play, all rinks gathered in the clubroom for the presentation of prizes, by Harvey Wood to the Veitch rink and sports chairman Dennis Veitch to the Manns rink. Everyone was then treated to a great supper, prepared by legion auxiliary members. A good time was had by all!
