Female Bantam Showcase next weekend

Louise Ferguson of Alexander, Kate-Leigh Heapy of Oak River, Brooklyn Hedley of Rapid City and Sadie Quane of Rivers are teammates on the Yellowhead AAA female bantam team.

Not part of a league, the group is a single-roster team that practices and plays in Birtle and Minnedosa. Yellowhead Region is hosting Hockey Manitoba’s female bantam showcase; this will be the third showcase of the season for the local team. They are scheduled to play Friday, Feb. 9 at 5:30 p.m. in Minnedosa, at 12 noon in Hamiota on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m. in Minnedosa on Feb. 10 and finally, at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11 in Minnedosa.

In total, the three-day event will have 20 games played in Hamiota and Minnedosa; all games are free and open to the public. Ten teams will compete and results will be posted online at hockeymanitobastats.ca.
