Neepawa wins shootout at MJHL Showcase

A dramatic victory for the Neepawa Natives Friday afternoon at the Old Dutch/MJHL Showcase in Winnipeg. After falling behind early in the 1st period 2-0 to Waywayseecappo, the team rallied to win 3-2 in a shootout.

Stephan Mather and Vincent Currao scored in regulation for Neepawa. Drake Lindsay netted the lone score in the shootout, while Alex Henry stopped three Wolverine shooters to secure the win.

The next game for Neepawa at the Old Dutch/MJHL Showcase is Saturday night at 6:00 pm against the Selkirk Steelers.
