The Winnipeg Jets are 2-0 under new head coach Paul Maurice.
The NHL team won their second consecutive game on Thursday night, defeating the Flames 5-2 in Calgary.
Bryan Little, Dustin Byfuglien, Mark Scheifele, Olli Jokinen and Jacob Trouba scored for Winnipeg, who are now two games below .500 with a 21-23-5 record and are 10 points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Kane placed IR
The Jets have placed forward Evander Kane on injured reserve on Thursday. Winnipeg recalled forward Carl Klingberg from the AHL's St. John's IceCaps who will take Kane's place on the roster.
