The Neepawa Natives are wrapping up their pre-season schedule this weekend. The team will be playing three games over the next three nights, including a back to back set against the Winkler Flyers. The first game will be tonight in Winkler, while on Saturday night, both teams will meet at the Yellowhead Centre. The third and final game for the Natives is at home on Sunday against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.
Natives Head Coach Dwayne Kirkup said this weekend will likely be used as the final warmup for returning players to get into game shape and the last chance for several prospects to make their mark and secure a roster spot for the upcoming MJHL regular season. There are currently 28 players still vying for a position on the club.
