The NACI Tigers have dropped to 1-2 on the season in the Rural Manitoba Football League after a 32-20 loss to the Swan Valley Tigers on Monday. Head Coach Dave Clark said the team started off a bit slow but was able to gain some late momentum after establishing its running game, which accumulated 215 yards and three touchdowns.
Cole Tardiff led the way for the Tigers with 9 carries for 87 yards, including a 72-yard scamper for a touchdown. Brenden Cowan and Cody Pasowisty also contributed with 66 and 38 yards respectively and a pair of touchdowns.
Clark noted the defence has a little bit of work to do but still held up well against one of the top offensive squads in the R.M.F.L.
“[Swan Valley] has a well oiled offence and we did as best we could. We have a little work to do but we are moving forward well on that side of the ball.” said Clark.
The next game for the Tigers is Friday Sept. 19 against Southwest.
