It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over! With the end of summer also comes the final days that the Beautiful Plains Museum is open for the season. September 5 will be your last day to visit the museum until we reopen in May.

The 2016 edition of the Gladstone Fair was a huge success. This year, it ran from Aug 10-14 and drew in large crowds from across the region. A big part of the festivities was the always entertaining parade, held on Saturday, Aug. 13.

Manitoba’s relatively new Progressive Conservative government has only been in office for a little over 100 days. They are being criticized for not moving fast enough on some of their promises like an Emergency Room strategy and cutting costs to reduce the deficit. It’s a bit early to start criticizing but it’s certainly not too early to examine some of the roadblocks the conservatives face. Let’s see what they are.
