Terry Fox Runs in Rivers and Rapid City

We are excited to bring the annual Terry Fox Run to Rivers. This year the run will be held on Sunday, Sept. 14. We want to ensure that Rivers can significantly contribute to the cure for cancer, so we invite you to come out, participate, have fun and raise some money for the cure!  

Please start your pledging! Pledge forms are available at the Town of Rivers office, RM of Daly office, Rivers Super Thrifty, Rivers Home Hardware and Riverdale Health Centre staff room. Come as an individual participant or register as a team!

Registration is open from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. at Riverdale Community Centre. Registration forms will be available to fill out during this time; please hand in pledge forms during registration.

Run/walk begins at 1:30 p.m. and the route will close at 4:30 p.m. You can choose a 2.5-, five- or 10-kilometre walk/run/bike; the final route will include Aspen Trail. Water stations will be set up along the route, which will be clearly marked. Please note this is not a timed event.

Volunteers are needed! If you are not participating in the event but would like to volunteer, please contact Kat Bridgeman at 204-328-5250 or Christa Veitch at 204-328-7877. Volunteers may be asked to assist with registration, manage water stations and direct participants along the route.

Rapid City’s run will leave from Valleyview Senior Centre and is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. It is also a walk/run/bike route.
