Rivers Police 'Beware of email scam.'

Rivers Police Service would like to alert Riverdale citizens of the newest scam being circulated. A local resident attended our office with a copy of what he believed to be a general email from Royal Bank of Canada.

The email said if you wanted the latest upgrades to click on the link and answer the questions. The citizen thought some questions were getting a little odd, so decided to call the local bank branch to see if, in fact, this was legit.

The bank representative stated they would never send a general email to your account, but that you would have to log into their website, and then be prompted. Again that is ONLY once you have logged into your online banking profile. If you are in doubt of these kinds of email, please call your local police or bank.
