Neepawa shows its support for NACTV

On Thursday, Feb. 11, NACTV held Showcase, their annual talent show fundraiser. The event was hosted at the Roxy Theatre and broadcast across Canada. Showcase raised just over $9,000 on the night and donations since have put the final count past the $10,000 mark, which was the goal.

Jackie Snider, office manager at NACTV, said that getting to that point after just the first day is great and that they’re doing better than the past few years.

A wide range of talented people of all ages from the community came out to help make the Showcase possible. Along with individuals phoning in pledges, businesses in the community also donated to the station. A good crowd came out to watch the performers live. Official numbers of how much money was raised will be in the next issue of the Neepawa Banner.
