Hike for Hospice raises funds

On Sunday, June 12 Riverdale Palliative Care held its Hike for Hospice fundraiser.  The event is held annually to not only raise funds for the local organization, but to also remember and honour the clients who have died in the past year. It is also a time to celebrate the efforts of the many dedicated caregivers and volunteers who care for those who are facing life-limiting illnesses and for their loved ones.

Riverdale Splashpark Committee is excited to announce our summer fundraising event — a band blast— along with the help of Tad Hoyak. The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 20, 1-8 p.m. in the parking lot beside Shelly Mom's Kitchen. We are planning other family activities for the day, along with a “flea market” garage sale. A walk down memory lane

Gladstone’s fourth Annual Walk for Alzheimer’s was held on Thursday, June 23 along with a fundraising barbecue. The Seniors’ Drop-In was the starting point for the walk and the place to donate toward this worthwhile cause by attending the barbecue or making a pledge. The total raised this year was $3265.00.
