Neepawa Town Council Meeting - Tuesday, Feb. 16

Speed Limit change rejected:

A request from the Town of Neepawa to lower the speed limit on a portion of Highway 16 has been rejected. Municipal officials had asked the Highway Traffic Board to decrease the speed limit on a two and a half kilometre stretch just east of town to 80 kilometres an hour.

Riverdale Harvest search for new home

As indicated in our last newspaper article, Riverdale Harvest food bank has been looking for a new home. Zion Church has graciously extended space to us! We are very excited to begin the planning, co-ordinating and performing of this move. We have not worked out the details yet, but hope within the month to be co-ordinated, if not completely moved.

Being born a partial left hand amputee hasn’t stopped Rylan Sumner, 10, of Neepawa, from living a full and active life. In fact, he can do everything everyone else can do, sometimes with the help of a special device.

Through the new “snowmobile responsibly” campaign introduced by CCSO, Snoman encourages everyone to take personal responsibility for his or her decisions and actions on the snow this winter.

St. James’ Anglican Church’s annual pancake and sausage supper was held Tuesday, Feb. 9. It was enjoyed by a large attendance of people, including little ones and a two-week old baby girl, new daughter of Chris and Sarah Belcher (nee Frank).
