UPDATE: Thursday, Mar. 19 - On March 14, 1,233 PC Party members cast their ballots to select the party’s candidate for the Agassiz riding in the next provincial election. Eileen Clarke, Darryl Gerrard, Sheri Grant and Kelly Wilson put their names forward to replace current MLA Stu Briese, who announced last year that he wouldn’t be running in the next provincial election. Once the votes were tallied, Clarke was announced as the winner.
Cleanup underway on train derailment near north of Carberry

Work continues at this time to clear thirteen rail cars from a C.N. train that went off the tracks just north of Carberry on Wednesday night.

Rocky Mountain Equipment acquires Chabot Implements for $6.8 million

Rocky Mountain Equipment has purchased the Chabot Implements dealerships, a Manitoba-based dealer of Case IH agriculture equipment with locations in Portage La Prairie, Steinbach and Elie. Chabot also sells Kubota equipment through its Neepawa location.

Neepawa Home Hardware building has a long history

Home Hardware has been in Neepawa for a long time. Prior to 1976, the Neepawa Furniture Centre, which was owned by Roy and Joan McGillivray, had the Link Hardware dealership. Link phased out in 1976 and became part of Home Hardware in 1981 and the Neepawa Furniture Centre was the Home Hardware outlet for this area until 1984.
