The Neepawa Natives are searching for a new head coach. On Wednesday, Mar. 16, just before the Neepawa Banner’s publication deadline, the Junior ‘A’ club announced via media release that Jim Fuyarchuk will not be returning as coach for the 2016-2017 MJHL season.
NACI Varsity Tigers ready for basketball provincials

The Neepawa Area Collegiate Institute (NACI) Tigers varsity girls basketball team is optimistic about its chances for victory heading into the Provincial “AA” Championship. The event, which is set for Mar. 17-19 in Souris, will feature the best basketball squads from across Manitoba. Neepawa earned its place in the tournament by winning the Zone Seven Championship and the regional qualifier earlier this month.

Female Chiefs defeat Westman in semi-final

After nine days off following a first round sweep of the Interlake Lightning, the Yellowhead AAA Female Midget Chiefs finally returned to the ice on Wednesday, Mar. 2. The team began a semi final series against the Westman Wildcats at the Communiplex in Shoal Lake.
