The Oak River Dodgers have taken top spot in the Manitoba Senior Baseball League standings, The MSBL regular season ended on Sunday, July 12, with the Dodgers blanking the Brandon Marlins 9-0. Pitcher Bryce Collins threw a complete game for Oak River, to help the club finish out the regular season with a league-best 12-7 record.
Neepawa Golf & Country Club ready for Senior Open

Some of the best golfers from across western Manitoba will hit the links at the Neepawa Golf and Country Club on Monday, July 13, for the annual Senior Open. Club general manager and CPGA golf pro Landon Cameron said that the field is stacked this year, with 144 participants confirmed and many additional names on the waiting list.

Neepawa Natives pleased with prospects camp

The future of the Neepawa Natives hit the ice in Brandon earlier this week, as the MJHL club held its young prospects camp. Just under 60 players, including top 2015 MJHL bantam draft pick Mackenzie Belinski participated in the event on Monday, July. 6 and Tuesday, July. 7 at the Sportsplex.

MJHL regular season schedule announced

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has unveiled its 2015-2016 regular season schedule. It will begin on Friday, Sept. 25 with 10 of 11 teams in action. The defending MJHL and RBC Cup champions Portage Terriers will open their regular season in Virden against the Oil Capitals, while the Neepawa Natives will begin the season on the road in Dauphin. The first home game for Neepawa will be on the following night, as the Kings will journey to the Yellowhead Centre for a 7:30 pm matchup.
