A dramatic three goal comeback in the third period by the Neepawa Farmers was all for naught, as the Carberry Plainsmen were able to score a power play goal late in the game, to secure a 4-3 win in Tiger Hills Hockey League action.

MJHL announces year-end award winners

Tristan Keck of the Winkler Flyers has been named the MJHL’s most valuable player. The 19 year old from Morris is one of five major award winners, joining three members of the Portage Terriers who were also recognized for their outstanding season.

The hopes for post-season play for Neepawa are officially dead, as the Steinbach Pistons topped the Natives on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2-1.
