The Neepawa Natives were simply outmatched on Sunday night as they were defeated by the Portage Terriers 9-3. The Terriers started the night off quickly, with forward Shawn Bowles scoring their first goal just 44 seconds into the opening period.

The Christmas hiatus can’t arrive soon enough for the Neepawa Natives, as they are in desperate need of some extra time to recover from their recent injury woes. The team put in a valiant effort against the Winnipeg Blues on Tuesday, Dec. 9 but were unable to overcome the 17th ranked club in the nation, falling 2-1.

Despite having a depleted lineup due to recent injuries, the Neepawa Natives proved to be the better team on Friday night as they defeated the Winkler Flyers 5-3 in MJHL action.
