The journey to the Rural Manitoba Football League championship for the Neepawa Tigers came to a disappointing end on Saturday, Nov. 1, with a 44-14 loss to Swan Valley.

Some for the top rural high school hockey teams are in Neepawa this weekend for the Slasher Showdown. The tournament began Thursday night with a pair of games, including the Neepawa Tigers taking on the Minnedosa Chancellors.

The power play and penalty kill continue to be an issue for the Neepawa Natives, as the club allowed a pair of short handed goals and gave up another while with the man advantage, on the way to an 8-2 loss to the Virden Oil Capitals.
