The Neepawa Farmers couldn’t gain any ground in the Tiger Hills Hockey League (THHL) standings over the weekend, splitting a pair of games. First, they topped the Carberry Plainsmen 5-2 on Friday, Nov. 10 at home, but then fell to Cartwright by that identical 5-2 score, in a road game the following night.

The Neepawa Tigers wrapped up an extremely hectic week on a positive note Sunday, Nov. 13, with a 3-2 overtime win over the Minnedosa Chancellors. This was the third game in five nights for the Tigers, who closed out that part of their schedule with a win and two losses.

Hundreds pack Yellowhead Hall for Remembrance Day ceremony

The Yellowhead Hall was filled to capacity on Friday, Nov. 11, as Neepawa paid tribute to those who have served and sacrificed to protect our freedom. Hundreds of people, running the gamut of nationalities, ages and religious beliefs, paused in respectful silence during the annual Remembrance Day ceremony.
