The Yellowhead AAA Midget Female Chiefs welcomed the Winnipeg Avros to the Shoal Lake Communiplex for a set of weekend games to finish off their November schedule. The Saturday, Nov. 28 tilt was a great game for the hosts in every way, except the final result, as they were defeated 1-0.

A world class pianist and violinist will bring a variety of beloved instrumental songs to the Gladstone and District Community Centre on Dec. 11.
They are Roy and Rosemary, who first met while accompanying The Canadian Tenors, now The Tenors.

There is a common problem across Manitoba and that problem is all municipal governments, regardless of size, are stretched way too thin. It doesn’t matter if it’s the smallest, most rural RM in Manitoba or the City of Winnipeg. It’s a strictly mathematical problem.

Any team in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League that gives up 40+ shots on goal a game cannot realistically expect to win on a consistent basis. So far this season, the Neepawa Natives have surrendered an average of 46 shots per game. On Wednesday, Dec. 2, they gave up 60. From that information, I’m sure you have already surmised exactly what the end result was for Neepawa, as the visiting Virden Oil Capitals were able to cruise to a 6-3 win.
