Rivers 50+ Club meeting of Jan.15 was chaired by president Ken Young; 21 members joined in the singing of O Canada.

Correspondence included a letter from Rolling River Festival of Arts requesting a donation; we gave $50. Although no motion was made, it was suggested that we donate annually to this cause.

Games activities are progressing well. Sign-up sheets are up for  Feb. 4 whist at Hamiota, Feb. 6 pool tournament at Neepawa and Feb. 12 floor curling at Birtle. Hamiota Seniors Club has expressed an interest to join our members in playing darts occasionally.

Members donating cookies for our entertainment session at Riverdale Personal Care Home on Jan.27 are Ina Hyndman and Jean Young.

One get well card was sent out. The movie P.S. I Love You was shown on Jan. 16.

Beth Schafer had the birthday/anniversary table decorated in a winter theme for seven guests.

Our next meeting is Feb. 19 at 2 p.m.
