4-H presenters preparing for provincials

South Parkland Area 4-H Council held the Zone 1 Communications Competition in Minnedosa on March 8. There were 52 members participating who were given 4-H tokens provided by South Parkland. First place in each category was awarded a trophy, provided by our various sponsors. The results of the Zone 1 public speaking competition are as follows, in order of first to third.

Cloverbud, Trent Tomoniko, Neepawa Belles Beaux and Builders, Carson Baker, Neepawa and Area Beef, Regan Teichroeb, Neepawa Beef; junior, Madison Teichroeb, Neepawa Beef; Clair Tomoniko, Belles Beaux and Builders, Kendall McCracken, Belles Beaux & Builders; intermediate, Lauren McKee, Rapid City 4-H Rodeo Club, Erica Alex, Minnedosa Western Riders, Emily Pearson, Erickson 4-H Club; senior, Daisy McKee, Rapid City Rodeo, Kelsey Ellis, Neepawa and Area Silver Spurs, Dylan Oshanyk, Neepawa Beef.

Visual presentations were solo and duo entries. The cloverbud and senior categories had no duo entries; other divisions have solo winners listed first. Cloverbud, Allison Beaumont, Silver Spurs, Sveinna Bjarnarson, Neepawa Beef, Ashley Magnusson, Minnedosa Multi-Purpose Club; junior, Elliot MacDonald, Minnedosa Multi-Purpose, Lainie Muir, Glenella Multi-Purpose Club, Eden Pearson, Erickson 4-H Club, Rylee Paterson/Shayla Woychyshyn, Erickson, Rylan Sumner/Jory Kulbacki, Belles Beaux and Builders; intermediate, Broddi Bjarnarson, Neepawa Beef, Tristan LaBelle, Minnedosa 4-H for Teens, Hailee Addison/Katie Wright, Rapid City Rodeo; senior, Viktor Popp, Erickson, Leland Bramley, Minnedosa 4-H for Teens. 

Members were invited to give their presentations at the South Parkland Area Communications Competition in Hamiota on March 20.  South Parkland Area stretches from Neepawa to Russell; 39 members participated. Members who placed in each category were awarded an embroidered 4-H luggage bag or engraved mug sponsored by South Parkland Area 4-H Council, and first place in each category (except cloverbud) will be given the opportunity to present at the provincial level.  Results of the area public speaking competition are:
