Construction at Riverdale Community Centre

Riverdale Public Works and Riverdale Community Centre employees Brian Mitchell and Rob van Dixhoorn began working to build a small concrete retaining wall on the west side of the recreation facility.

It will assist in keeping white crushed rock surrounding shurbs and bordering the rink, from being scattered onto the sidewalk, thus creating a hazard for pedestrians. One-third of the cost is covered by a Manitoba Hometown grant; the remainder will be paid from RCC’s operating budget.

The work began the last week of August; the portion pictured above was completed before this edition hits the printing press. More work is to be done on the south side of the rink, with more Barkman brick border.
