With the weather cooling off, local members have noticed a lesser amount of traffic and tickets being issued.

People are still speeding, with our Speeder of the Week clocking in at 137 km/h in a 100km/h zone, good for a $535.00 fine.  One speeder was found to be going 121 km/h and subsequently, members found he had no driver’s licence and his car was not registered.  Moral of the story:  do not speed when you are not allowed to drive or want to save money by not buying your car insurance!

A local gentleman had his licence plate stolen off his vehicle.  If this happens to you, please inform your local RCMP office.  Someone who steals a licence plate might use it on a stolen vehicle.

With the resurfacing on Highway 16 through Neepawa, please be patient and drive carefully through the area.  Watch for the workers and the flag people and drive slowly.  Remember that speeding fines double in construction zones.  The paving crew will be done as quickly as possible and we will have a better road through Neepawa.

Be safe and have a good week.
