The annual Remembrance Day luncheon hosted by Rivers Legion Ladies Auxiliary was a huge success!

Before the official opening after which Rev. Glenna Beauchamp blessed the food, our president gave the branch a financial gift. We are able to assist them because of the support we receive at our luncheon and the canteen at the weekly bingo.

There were many people/places that donated items and the community offered their continued support. Winner of the $200 cash raffle prize was Kathy Wiebe; winner of the $100 cash prize was Rudy Shaw; winner of the Clean Under Pressure $129 gift certificate was Bernice Elliot.

Our penny raffle winners were: candle holder, Gerry Gourlay; bag and scarves, Marlene Hayhurst; doll, Hayley Plewes; gift certificates, Sharon Clark-Victor, Lisa Smith, Arlene Wood; Avon, Doreen Bate; heated shawl, gift certificate and lunchpack, Eleanor Childerhose; candy dish and gift certificate, Candace Draper; pottery, cash and candle holder, Nadine Vickery; frames and thermometer, Michelle Gagne; cash and one-hour massage, Karen Mellings; mitts and gift certificate, Greg Kowalchuk; Scentsy and cash, Brayden Brown; scarf and necklace, Kayla Brown; tote bag  and books, Karen Minshull; wrenches, chip/dip set and jacket, Theresa Empey; mugs, dish and hot chocolate, Darryl Childerhose; cash prizes, Michelle McFadden and Angie Lau; Christmas lights, Evan Smith; gift basket, picture frame and gift certificate, Gwen Spring; afghan, Susan Childerhose; hot dog toaster, Ramona Kuhn; Sunset gourmet, Jan St. Pierre; candle warmer and candles, Beth Maclellan; fleece throws, Audrey MacKay and Rick Hayward; wooden window frame, Griffin Wright; chocolates, Tiffany Crompton; thermos,  T-shirt and thermometer, Colton Spring; flashlight, pens and notepad, Dave Allen; candy/nut pack, Donna Veitch; picture, Diane Marriott; candle holder, RJ Minshull; whisks, dish cloths and egg timer, Betty MacDonald.
