It looks like we are going to be busy! For many years RM of Daly allowed us the privilege of using their basement as the storage and dispensing site for Riverdale Harvest.

Once amalgamated with Town of Rivers, Riverdale Municipality graciously extended the invitation to us to continue to use that space, as long as it was available. As previously reported in this newspaper, police station renovations are moving along quickly, which means Riverdale Harvest food bank is looking for a new home. Hopefully we will have good news to report after our next meeting, which is scheduled for Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at Prairie Crocus Regional Library.

Our January hamper count was almost exactly a repeat of December’s: 19 families, 49 children, no couples and seven singles. If you are in need of a hamper, please remember to call in advance (Liliane, 204-328-7968 or me, 204-328-7341) to arrange an appointment.
