The regular quarterly meeting of Rivers Legion was held with nine members present. All business conducted at the previous executive meetings was explained and discussed. Three new members, Darren Howarth, Jen Howarth and Deb Webster were sworn in and welcomed.

The band Rocket 88 had to be rescheduled for the clubroom to April 8. The pool table in the clubroom is going to be recovered, at a cost of approximately $2,000.

The Legion music and athletic camp at the Peace Garden is looking for volunteers for events in August. They need people for dorm supervision, various administration activities and general maintenance. If you are interested in serving in these ways, information about jobs and dates is available at the Legion office.

Donations were given to various organizations; half the hall rental costs for the fundraising banquet for Razzamatazz Dance Club, $200 to minor hockey and $100 to Rolling River Festival of the Arts.

Almost all of the membership dues for 2018 have been paid. You know who you are and we thank you.

The washrooms on the upper floor and the men’s in the clubroom have handicap access; the ladies’ in the clubroom does not. The executive will look into it. The construction possibilities, that is, not the washroom.
