After three years of travelling from Oysoyoos to Neepawa, this pineapple plant, tended by Brenda Sumner, was started from the cut-off top of a delicious supermarket dessert. From roots in the pot to the top of the baby fruit leaves, the plant now measures 29”. The new fruit is 10” from base to the top of its leaves. This is pretty amazing, hopefully it will mature and the Sumners can enjoy another pineapple dessert.
