Before HMK kids can play, they have to do some work. Over the past few months, the elementary school has been organizing fundraisers to help cover the cost of the new play structure they have planned.

Thrills of the fair return to Neepawa

The excitement of carnival games and midway rides returns to the region this weekend, thanks to the Neepawa and District Chamber of Commerce. For the third straight year, the Chamber has partnered with Saturn Shows for the Neepawa Fair. The 2016 edition is scheduled from May 27-29 at the Agricultural Fairgrounds.

RRSD putting on spring concert

Rolling River School Division is putting on their biannual division-wide spring concert next week. The concert, called One World Many Songs, is taking place at the Onanole Centennial Park on Thursday, June 2 and starts at 11:00 am.

Fundraising in Rivers for Fort McMurray fire

On Tuesday, May 31 the Grade one and two students at Rivers Elementary School are having a lemonade stand to raise money for the fires in Fort McMurray. This idea started when students heard about how families have been affected by the fires and had to evacuate their homes. Students decided they wanted to help and that is when the idea of a lemonade stand started.
