Join us on Thursday, April 28 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm to hear Laura Reeves of Prairie Shore Botanicals share the wealth of information that she’s compiled in her book, Laura Reeves’ Guide to Useful Plants. Ms. Reeves has a passion for the natural landscape and all the wonders contained within. She’ll give us a quick tutorial on many native Manitoba plants and their little-known nutritional and healing properties, as well as many practical uses and delicious recipes that we can all make at home.

Approximately 150 patrons of the Beautiful Plains Credit Union attended a complementary roast beef dinner at the Neepawa Legion on April 13. Also on the menu was a favourable annual report. BPCU manager Gord Sylvester and board chair Keith Jury moved the proceedings along smoothly.

Manitoba Women’s Institute (MWI) is honoured that the lieutenant-governor of Manitoba, Honourable Janice Filmon, will be the banquet speaker at the organization’s 2016 convention to be held at Elkhorn Resort, Clear Lake, on May 6 and 7.
