This letter is to complain about a phone company ‘Telus’. Telus says they have the best coverage in Manitoba. That is a lie.

They use existing towers that are already in use by other phone companies. And, if people don’t have service with their phones now, they won’t with Telus. I made the mistake of believing Telus and signed up with them. I have absolutely no better service than before. I have a cousin that lives just north of Langruth and he has no cell service in his yard. I was up there recently and I had no service in his yard either. So Telus is lying.

Another thing they didn’t tell me when I signed up was that they are long distance from Gladstone to Portage. I’m in the Gladstone area and every time I make a call to anyone in Gladstone its a long distance charge. I have a Portage cell number and a lot of people have Portage cell numbers, but since we live in the Gladstone area, every call is long distance charge. Even if I call my brother or sister-in-law it’s long distance and long distance charges apply.

But like I said earlier. Telus has no better coverage than any other phone company because they use the same cell towers, so Telus is lying.
