Pistons' Augert named MJHL player of the week

Justin Augert of the Steinbach Pistons has been named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League player of the week, ending Sept. 29.

Augert, 20, has been a key player in the Pistons’ impressive start this season, winning their first five games. The 6-foot-2, 210-power forward recorded three goals and eight points for the defending MJHL champions.

The runners up were 20-year-old forward Mitch Deacon of the Swan Valley Stampeders and 20-year-old forward Parker Thomas of the Selkirk Steelers.
