Former Yellowhead Chiefs Shawn and Brad Bowles are among the 66 players invited to attend the Canada West selection camp for the upcoming World Junior A Hockey Challenge.

The twin brothers from Elkhorn both played key roles with the Chiefs a year ago as the duo finished one-two respectively in team scoring, helping the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League club finish with the most regular season wins the team has had since 2007-2008.

The Bowles brothers will be joined by former Chiefs teammate and fellow Elkhorn native Brett Orr at the camp as well. All three players are currently in the midst of their rookie seasons with the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Portage Terriers.

The Canada West team will also have some local flavour behind the bench as well as Medora's Trent Cassan of the SJHL's Yorkton Terriers is an assistant coach.

The selection camp, scheduled for Oct. 26-30, will be held at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary. The players will be divided into four teams -- Black, Gold, Red and White -- and will play six intrasquad games, in addition to daily practices.

The 2013 World Junior A Challenge will be held Nov. 4-10 at the Mariners Centre in Yarmouth, N.S.
