The Brandon Wheat Kings struggles on their current west coast road trip continued on Tuesday night in Seattle.

The hometown Thunderbirds improved to 11-3-0-2 on the season with a 4-2 victory over the visiting Wheat Kings, who saw their west coast road trip record slip to 0-3 and their record falling below the .500 mark for the first time this season at 7-8-0 overall.

Ryley Lindgren and Jens Meilleur scored for the Wheat Kings, who will be hoping to put the brakes to the three-game skid Wednesday night in Portland against the defending Western Hockey League Champion Winterhawks.

Tuesday's game marked the first time that Brandon blueliner Taylor Green faced his former team since being acquired by the Wheat Kings in August for a fifth round bantam draft choice.

Following Wednesday's game in Portland, the Wheat Kings will travel to Everett to meet the Silvertips on Friday, before closing out the 10-day excursion in Lethbridge on Sunday against the Hurricanes.
