Beckett named named MJHL player of the week

Kyler Beckett of the Virden Oil Capitals has been named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League player of the week.

The 19-year-old goaltender won both games played during the week and recorded a goals against average of 0.50 with one shutout and a save percentage of .986. The Oil Capitals sit first in the Sher-Wood Division with 12 wins and 24 points.

The runners up were 20-year-old forwards Jordan McCallum of the Winnipeg Blues and Justin Valentino of the Swan Valley Stampeders.
