MJHL: Terriers edge Natives

The Portage Terriers defeated the Neepawa Natives 2-1 in a tightly-contested Manitoba Junior Hockey League contest on Wednesday night.

Jaryd Wiebe opened the scoring for the Terriers at the 11:01 mark of the second period before Brayden Cuthbert tied the game just a few minutes later on the power play for Neepawa.

Brent Wold would score the game winner in the third period for Portage, who improved 14-4-2 and currently sit in first place in the Addison Division.

The Natives meanwhile lost their fourth game in a row and now sit with a 4-11-3 record.

In other MJHL action, the Swan Valley Stampeders defeated the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 5-3.
