The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have found their man.

Mike O'Shea was named the Canadian Football League's new head coach on Wednesday.

"To come and take this job as head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers,  it is made very easy by the foundation, the backbone that the Bombers are starting with now, with Wade [Miler] and with Kyle [Walters]," O'Shea said Wednesday at a press conference.

"They are creating a new culture of winning and I'm just thrilled to be a part of that."

Since 2010, O'Shea was the special teams co-ordinator for the Argos. He spent 16 seasons in the CFL as a linebacker, being named the league's outstanding Canadian in 1999.

The 43-year-old O’Shea becomes Winnipeg’s 30th head coach in team history.
