The Neepawa Natives travelled to Steinbach Saturday, Nov. 28 to face the Pistons.

An inability to stay out of the penalty box proved to be the undoing for Neepawa early in that matchup, as they surrendered three short handed goals in the opening 20 minutes to Steinbach. The Pistons added a pair of even strength goals in the opening period, to secure a commanding five goal cushion after 20 minutes of play.

There was no scoring in the second and just one goal each by both teams in the third period to close out the evening. Brayden Atkinson secured the lone marker for the Natives. The loss puts the Neepawa Natives’ record to 6-21 on the Manitoba Junior Hockey League season.
