A protest of the result of game one of the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League (MFMHL) was filed by the Central Plains Capitals and was ruled on by the MFMHL executive on Thursday Mar. 17. The protest was filed in connection to a penalty shot being awarded to the Yellowhead Chiefs during overtime, which lead to the game winning goal.

After winning the Zone 7 berth in Gladstone on Feb. 12 and 13, Rivers Collegiate Institute men's curling team consisting of Justin Gerrard, Connor English, Beau Bridgeman, Brendan English and coach Clayton Robins, were slated to compete in the provincial high school curling championships. Provincials were held Feb. 25-27 in Gladstone and Plumas curling clubs.
William Morton wins Basketball Championship
